The Gulfstream G450 is one of the best large-cabin, long-range business jet in its class.  Gulfstream Aerospace, based in Savannah, Georgia, first displayed the long-range, large-cabin G450 business jet in October 2003, but the G450 development program began in 2001 while the development of the G550 business jet was underway.

The G450 can reach a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.88 and carry a management team of eight up to 4,350 nautical miles at its normal cruise speed of Mach 0.80. With its intercontinental range, the G450 easily links Dallas with Paris.  A G450 departed the high-altitude Centennial Airport in Denver and touched down slightly more than seven hours later at Honolulu Airport on Oahu. The flight set a new city-pair speed record.
The aircraft has a rear engine, T-tail configuration with low mounted wings. The airframe is of light alloy construction with advanced carbon composite ailerons, spoilers, rudders and elevator. The G450 aircraft design includes the proven wing, winglet and tail unit design of the G400 aircraft, a stretched fuselage 0.30m longer than the G400 and the flight deck and nose section of the G550.
The aircraft design is a derivative of the GIV and GIV-SP but shares many similarities with the ultra long range G550, for example both aircraft have the PlaneView cockpit with four large flight displays and the Honeywell Primus Epic avionics and visual guidance system (VGS).
Both G450 and G550 have the Gulfstream enhanced visual guidance system (EVS), which provides the pilot with clear idea of runway markings, taxiways and the surrounding landscape at night or in extremely bad weather conditions..
G450 operators may choose from six Select Interior Configurations to personalize their cabin. Individual cabin designs will accommodate up to 16 passengers comfortably with berthing for six. Whatever the configuration, G450 passengers will appreciate the abundant sunshine streaming through Gulfstream's signature oval windows, the 100 percent fresh air and the advanced soundproofing that envelops the living environment in new levels of quiet.
The inherent value of the G450 is evident in its GIV lineage, its PlaneView cockpit and it’s greater than 99.8 percent dispatch reliability rate. Like all members of the Gulfstream fleet, the G450 is sustained by Gulfstream's vast, worldwide product-support network. More than 3,000 trained professionals stationed at strategically located service centers, authorized warranty centers and line-service facilities around the world stand ready to meet the needs of the G450 fleet.
