The early 90’s saw the standard production model of the Falcon 900 shift to the Falcon 900B model. This successor to the original 900 was identical cosmetically, but had an upgrade of engines giving it an increase in power and range. This allowed the B model to take off on shorter airstrips. The 900B has a low/swept wing and three very noticeable rear fuselage mounted engines. Each side of the fuselage has 12 cabin windows. The tail has the recognizable number two engine at its base, swept tailfin and mid-mounted swept tailplane. It holds a crew of two and up to 19 passengers. The 900B can cruise up to 500 knots and has a range of up to 4,400 nautical miles

Improvements in power from the 900 include a 5.5% increase in takeoff thrust, a 6.5% increase in thrust at altitude and a 2% increase in TSFC (Thrust Specific Fuel Consumption). An increase in range is the result: 4,583 nautical miles. The 900B can also enjoy better visibility approach clearance (Category II) and operation on unprepared strips that its predecessor cannot.
The Dassault Falcon 900B offers the best of all worlds, three engine dependability, wide body comfort and excellent short field performance. The Falcon 900B allows seating up to 14 passengers and a maximum range of 4,000 miles, depending on loads. This is the aircraft for comfortable Trans-Atlantic crossings. For example: with only 6 passengers onboard - it can travel up to 8 hours, non-stop, from Dubai to a destination as far as: Beijing, Tapei, Johannesburg, Accra, Lisbon or London with ease.
The 900B provides a large cabin room for intercontinental range accommodations.  It normally seats 8-12 in an executive arrangement.  The spacious cabin measures 6.2 feet in height (full stand-up), 7.7 feet in width, and 39 feet in length.  Amenities include a full-sized private lavatory and galley.
